Hypnotherapy can help ease sleeplessness

Are you losing sleep over a lack of sleep?

Do you struggle to sleep? Do you wake up in the middle of the night? Do you find you are unable to go back to sleep as the troubles of work start to ruminate in your mind?

If the answer to any of these questions is a resounding ‘yes’, then Solution Focused Hypnotherapy may be helpful for you!

A course of sessions, each lasting an hour, are designed to be able to ease insomnia and help clients have a more restful night’s sleep.

I am a fully-qualified and insured Solution Focused Hypnotherapy practitioner based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. I have worked with a number of people who have expressed issues with sleep management.

All of us have a metaphorical stress bucket that can easily fill. The more stress we experience, the bigger the load we carry, which can have a negative impact on our emotional wellbeing and our ability to sleep properly.

When you start to sleep, your brain enters a specific state of Rapid Eye Movement, which is often referred to as REM. In very simple terms, this state allows us to empty our ‘stress buckets’. But, if there is too much in your ‘bucket’, you may find yourself waking up and being unable to go back to sleep!

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works by encouraging more positive thinking so reducing the stress levels someone may be experiencing through problems at work or relationship-based issues.

Each session lasts for an hour and contains around 20 minutes of hypnosis which encourages Rapid Eye Movement to occur for the client – so allowing their ‘stress bucket’ levels to drop. In turn, over a period of time, the client should start to see their sleep patterns improve.

At your initial consultation, I will provide you with a free relaxation CD or MP3.  The CD/MP3 can make a real difference because people can listen to it before they go to sleep, so it can help someone to relax and let go of tension.

The initial consultation provides a full explanation of how the therapy works and how it can better our sleep patterns and improve other aspects of our life.

I am member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which insists on the highest standards of practice among its members, who are qualified, insured, and attend regular sessions designed to provide them with the latest research in hypnotherapy.  For more information, visit the AfSFH website.
