Why hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy can be a wonderfully effective way to treat all sorts of conditions. 

People seek treatment for any of the following, and more: anxiety, anger, confidence issues, depression, exam stress, grief, migraines and headaches, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, stress, sleep problems, weight control.

The initial consultation

The first stage of the therapeutic process is your initial consultation during which I will gather some useful background information about yourself and what has brought you to seek treatment. I will then explain a little bit about how the brain works and how hypnotherapy can help you to make positive changes in your life.

Follow-up hypnotherapy sessions

When you return for your first full hypnotherapy session, the first half of the session will be based on talking therapy whereby we will focus on the positive actions, thoughts and interactions in your life since we last met, thereby strengthening the part of the brain that is most receptive to positivity and rational thought. The brain is a wonderfully adaptive organ that CAN be retrained fairly rapidly if you are willing to fully engage in the process of change.


The second half of the session will be a fabulously relaxing 20-25 minute session on the hypnotherapy couch whereby we work to open up the subconscious mind to receive positive suggestions, helping you to shape your life into how you want it to be.

If you are new to hypnotherapy, rest assured that you will be in control at ALL TIMES. The trance state you will achieve is very normal; you actually go into trance many times throughout the day, say, when you are watching television or reading a book and find you’ve drifted off and missed a crucial point.

Your initial consultation and assessment will last between 45 minutes and 1 hour and is priced at just £50.

Each individually tailored session is £50 and typically lasts 55-60 minutes.
It’s recommended that people come along weekly, especially in the first instance, in order to maximise the speed and effectiveness of positive change.
